TIC! The Improvisers' Choir
New workshop this coming Sunday, May 31st, 2 pm - 5 pm. Crouch End, London
A reminder that the first workshop session (since pre-Covid) for TIC! The Improvisers’ Choir is this Sunday, May 31st, 2 pm - 5 pm at the Loft, in Crouch End.
Improvising in this choir includes all levels of vocal experience.
TIC! The Improvisers’ Choir develop fluid forms of signal-led, improvised vocal music. We create exploratory spontaneous choral compositions holding a vision to make vocal music which is original, stylistically wide-ranging, and accessible.
That was written in 2016 - and now, ten years later, a call to evolve further is emerging.
“..poignantly reaffirming of the power of the individual voice, and the difference it can make as part of a collective, not least in the creative practice of collaborative music-making, but as a societal allegory.” Royal Musical Association.
Please send me an email or message via Substack with your request to join.
The cost is £20, (Conc. £15). Pay by contactless on the day.
There will be a further two Sunday sessions on June 14th and July 5th. Get in touch to let me know the date/s you wish to come.
This is part of an ‘integration of practices’ journey that I’m beginning.
Come and discover TIC’s! playful approach and enjoy a ‘bend the blend’ impish vibe in this unusual choir.
